Know Colorado Cannabis Laws

Many travelers come to Colorado to enjoy the freedom of recreational cannabis, but it's important to remember that although it is legal for adults to purchase and consume cannabis, there are still rules and laws.

In Colorado, you must be 21 years of age or older to purchase cannabis. You can only purchase up to one ounce of flower, 8 grams of concentrates, or 800 mg of edibles per day. Furthermore, the only place you are legally allowed to smoke cannabis is on private property in the privacy of your own home.

While rules on cannabis in Colorado are generally relaxed, it’s important to remember that rules can vary from county and town. In Colorado, public consumption is illegal and you cannot consume cannabis in National Parks, Ski Areas, outdoors, or even in hotels that ban it. You can even get a DUI for cannabis in Colorado, so be sure to enjoy it responsibly!
