Recognized as a leading research university in the USA, the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs hosts more than 11,000 students and 1,600 faculty and staff members.
Students and faculty are drawn to Colorado Springs from all over the state, country, and from countries all around the world. Once a small commuter campus, the University of Colorado has grown into a well recognized university with a substantial presence in the Colorado Springs economy.
Although the University of Colorado campuses exist in Boulder, Denver, and Aurora, the campus in Colorado Springs is the fastest-growing of all the campuses. The school draws in more than $420 million annually for research and grants the most master’s degrees of all high-education institutions in Colorado.
While they accept about 87%-95% of applicants, only about 45% of students go on to graduate with a degree. And although the University doesn’t have a reputation as being a party school, locals might disagree.
