We have partnered with the cannabis philanthropy organization GREEN TEAM to host the first ever industry-led National Voter Registration Day project with the non-partisan, civic engagement non-profit group New Era Colorado Foundation. We will host The GREEN TEAM and New Era on September 26 in order to facilitate an industry-led voter registration event.

“Civic engagement is at the core of the cannabis industry. Colorado’s cannabis industry would not have flourished – creating thousands of jobs and over half a billion dollars in revenue to the state –  without the dedicated effort of civic leaders to pass amendment 64 in 2012. We are excited to continue to encourage our customers and patients to be active voters in their communities,” said Shannon Fender of Native Roots.

Added Emmett Resitroffer, "The Green Team is excited to participate in National Voter Registration Day. Our goal is to capture the increasing interest in civic engagement among cannabis consumers and demonstrate our positive impact in the community. Our volunteers are excited to assist with voter registration. We hope to work on this exciting project in future years and hope to expand to many more participating locations."

Three Native Roots locations will host voter registration drives on September 26th from 5:00-9:00 pm: Native Roots Boulder on Pearl Street, 1146 Pearl Street, Boulder 80302; Native Roots Downtown Denver, 1555 Champa Street, Denver 80205; Native Roots Littleton, 7870 W. Quincy Ave, Denver 80123.

"New Era is thrilled to partner with Native Roots and the Green Team to reach young voters on National Voter Registration Day. Civic engagement is more important today than ever, and we've always been focused on meeting people where they are. We're excited to work with local businesses like Native Roots that are committed to getting our communities registered and active."
